There were no cases of lung cancer among
persons less than 35 years of age. The age-specific incidence rates for males
were uniformly higher than the rates for females after age 54. The incidence
rates increased with age, peaking in the age group 80-84 for males, and 65-69
for females. Health District 1 had statistically significantly more cases than
expected based upon rates for the remainder of Idaho (p<0.01), and Health District
7 had statistically significantly fewer cases than expected (p<0.05).
